How to join a usergroup?
If you are wondering what are or what do usergroups do, read the following explanation.
First off, to be part of a usergroup, you will need to visit your User
CP and scroll down until you see a link in the left side bar that says
"Group Memberships". Once you see it, click it and you will have a
screen with a list of usergroups that you can join. To join one, you
will be needed to click on the little white circle at the right of it
and later click "Join Group".
Each usergroup has it's owns features.
"Behind The Curtains: Secrets!" enables you to visit a forum in
which EI spoilers are posted, debated, and shared. Great for those who
do not have the time to complete quests by themselves and need to hurry
up with their tasks.
"Homework Helpers!" enables you to visit a forum in which users help others by explaining them how to solve certain tasks they are given at school.
"Ranters" is a usergroup that gives you the chance of visiting a
forum in which players vent about things they do not like of EI and
share what they do not like with others.
"Magical Beginnings" allows you to access forums that are aimed
for users whose ages range from 0 to 10, so that people can discuss
freely about topics of their same age range. This usergroup requires a
moderator to accept your request, so you will need to enter you paren't
e-mail ******* in the "Join Request" area.
"Big Kids" allows you to access forums that are aimed for users
whose ages range from 11 to 12, so that people can discuss freely about
topics of their same age range. This usergroup requires a moderator to
accept your request, so you will need to enter you paren't e-mail
******* in the "Join Request" area.
"Teens" allows you to access forums that are aimed for users
whose ages range from 13 to 17, so that people can discuss freely about
topics of their same age range. This usergroup requires a moderator to
accept your request, so a moderator will verificate you are as old as
you are claiming to be before accepting you in.
"Club 33" allows you to access forums that are aimed for users
whose ages range are above 18 years old, so that people can discuss
freely about topics of their same age range. This usergroup requires a
moderator to accept your request, so a moderator will verificate you
are as old as you are claiming to be before accepting you in.
"Shutterbug Folies" allows you to access forums devoted to those
who are camera crazy and love taking pictures of everything they see.
Beware, because in this forum, pictures of other members can be seen,
however, there are rules on what to do before posting a picture of
yourself, and, by posting a picture of yourself, you are agreeing to
have already read those rules. EIF won't take responsability for
anything happening with your pictures although we will try and help you
if you are having problems within the EIF limits.
All those who are found registering in usergroups that do not
correspond their age will be warned and/or suspended from the site for
a specific amount of time, while those who manage to fool us, but are
caught later on in the inappropiate usergroup will recieve a permanent
suspension with no ability to justify the fault.
As your age advanced, you are suggested to notify a staff member about
this taking place, so that we can properly change your Age Usergroup.
Why create usergroups to access certain forums and not just add the
forums and save the work of going through the process of joining a
usergroup? Simply because not everyone would like to see the content of
certain forums, but some others would definitely like to, so we made it
so that those who would like to view the content can and those who
don't won't.
